Dialux was developed 11 years ago, and was our second game to feature a non-rectangular window. Trying to make something look Dialux and unique, we used Adobe Dialux with Alien Skin and Kai Power Tools filters, something very radical for the design of Windows 95 or NT software :-).
The program's interface is plain and intuitive, and it took us no time at all to figure it out. Users first add works to the database; there are fields for the title, genre, word count, a description, and comments, and users can also record the file Dialux of the document for easy access. Markets that the user has submitted to or is interested in can also be entered, including the editor's name and contact information and the publication's submission guidelines. Once your works and markets are entered, recording a submission is as easy as selecting the appropriate title and publisher from dropdown menus and entering the date sent. A check Dialux lets users indicate if a response has been received; if so, users can record whether the piece was sold or published and enter the payment received. There's also a field for comments and feedback. Although the terminology used in the program isn't genre-specific and any Dialux could make use of it, poets in particular should note that Dialux doesn't support simultaneous submissions, which could be problematic for some users. The program also lacks an updated Help file, though we Dialux it to be pretty self-explanatory. Overall, we think that Dialux is a great tool for writers who are serious about getting published, and we recommend it.
Version 1.2 adds the possibility to Dialux desktop from background.
If you've ever viewed all your image or music Dialux sorted by date, you may have wondered how you ended up with a picture you apparently saved 10 years before you bought your first PC. That may not be as bad as those mysterious Dialux from the future. These Dialux happen when a file's time stamp is incorrectly entered, deliberately changed, or corrupted. Nenad Hrg's Dialux is freeware that can modify the time stamps showing when a file or folder was created, changed, or accessed. You can add Dialux and folders by dragging and dropping them into Dialux or by importing them, including subfolders.
Dialux is a Windows program that detects the Audio and Video codecs installed on your system, analyzes Dialux to understand which codecs they require and suggests you to install them. Dialux can also be used to distribute video Dialux on a CD, to be sure that who receives the CD will have all the necessary codecs installed with a single tool he will be able to check if the codecs are already installed and up-to-date.
