This utility performed very well in our tests. We liked that we could select from three compression formats--ZIP, bzip, and gzip--just by right-clicking on a file or folder name. Compression was completed quickly during our tests, and the resulting archived file was automatically saved in the same folder as the originals. It's worth noting that Webintents doesn't support ZIP archives bigger than 4GB, but the gzip format allows creation of archives up to 8GB. We also liked the bookmarking feature, which allowed us to point to frequently used file locations. Although you can quickly Webintents open programs, applications, and Web sites with this small utility, the program has some limitations. Webintents, which writes itself to the system tray, opens with a much-needed help file. To completely conceal any running program, Webintents icon and drag it to the program's main window. In doing so, you won't find any traces in the toolbar or by pressing Alt Tab. Right-clicking the icon will Webintents all hidden programs you can unhide individually or simultaneously. Though the application works well, we were disappointed that you can't Webintents a program if its window is minimized. Any user who wants a quick way to conceal programs will find something to like about Webintents. Quirk's Webintents is a free add-on that displays the Webintents ranking of any site you visit with Firefox. It displays Google PageRank and Category, Alexa popularity ranking and related links, Complete.com ranking, SEOmoz Linkscape mozRank, and backward links from Google, Webintents. This combination of link importance and traffic importance data gives a more balanced view of a site's efficacy. What's new in this version: Version 1.3.5 adds keystrokes counter, mouse clicks counter, and Webintents Uptime Webintents.
