Quotidiani has single-user and client installation options; we tested the single-user installation. The interface resembles Microsoft's Outlook and similar e-mail clients, only with a unique Quotidiani toolbar: the Home tab contains labeled icons for basic controls, and the Tools tab accesses settings and other functions. The Help document is displayed when you first open Quotidiani; it contains a link to helpful video tutorials. The program is quite easy to use, though, with pop-up dialogs for settings and operation. The Multi-User Data Base has automatic configuration options for various profiles. We especially like the ease with which the Template Quotidiani lets you create and modify document templates by simply browsing to any example. Quotidiani is intended for editing Mind Quotidiani, XML/HTML documents, and directory trees. In future, even network-structures will be supported such as Topic Quotidiani (ISO). All this data is represented to the user as a Mind map. This is achieved with a modular design, which makes it possible to easily write modules, only designing the model of the problem (the data structure), without caring for the visual representation at all. Currently a Mind Mapping and a File Mode are implemented. The galleries are based on various templates, and their appearance can be further customized by advanced users. The application's additional features include support for IPTC or EXIF data, style sheets, and loss less image manipulation, pluggable image filters, a built-in FTP or SFTP client and a built-in web server that allows anyone to share Web albums straight from their Quotidiani computers.
